What is the Land Rover 4x4 In Schools technology challenge?

Land Rover 4x4 In Schools is a challenge developed by Land Rover, which consists of creating a team (a team) that has the task of generating a radio-controlled 4x4 car and competing with it against the other teams during the different phases: Regional, National and finally International. The project has the mission of making the student youth community around the world interested in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) disciplines in an attractive, interesting, educational, and practical way.

For this, the team is divided into roles and each member has a specific job within it. In our case, we have six roles plus our advisor:

Leader - Responsible for directing the progress of the entire team.
Design Engineer - Focuses on the engineering design of the car, based on competition rules and technical principles. The work is done with freehand sketches and later in CAD software.
Manufacturing Engineer - In conjunction with the Design Engineer, is responsible for manufacturing the car once it is ready. He is the one in charge of supervising the correct manufacturing and then manually notifying and correcting the imperfections of the process. It is also who gives the final style to the car.
Resource Manager - His position makes him responsible for maintaining the team's financial accounts, getting contacts, sponsors, and organizing our fundraising events, as well as organizing and managing the team's other resources.
Security Manager - Works to ensure that all processes and services for the car are of good quality and efficient to enable us to meet our objectives.
Graphic designer - Responsible for designing the image of the team: Logos, Banners, Canvas, Stand, Advertising images, Advertising resources, etc. Work together with everyone else to achieve a more concrete effect.

In the competition, all the work developed by the teams is evaluated through different test tracks for their off-road vehicle and it is determined, based on different criteria, who go to the next phase until the international final.
